AJ’S EDITOR’S DESK
I’ve ridden this horse out as far as I’m going to and turned its head back toward the home, so of course, we’re both running full speed toward the barn. That’s what it feels like to write Book #12, the finale, in The Admiral Inn series. I’ve always known how this story will end, and for more that nine books, I’ve also known the final scene. Now, I finish!
WHAT’S NEWS?
The biggest news at ChillerHaus Productions (sounds big but it’s just us) is that the 11th book in the Admiral Inn Mysteries Series is live and available in ebook and paperback on Amazon. A Ghost in the Tide.
Between books, essays, and frankly an overachieving vegetable garden, I have started the outline for my next project, The Cul de Sac, and Chris, my ever-reliable man-in-the-trenches has started the historical research.

Additionally, Chris and I have been developing an evergreen strategy for keeping accessibility to our ever-growing and cross-pollinating catalogue updated in nearly real-time. We call it the Perpetual Story Machine, or PSM. It utilizes all relevant technologies at our disposal to convert files and track updates such that we can remain nimble in the changing markets throughout the year as well as keep our front matter, back matter, and linked content fresh and accurate. We’re both excited to test it!
FACTS OF FICTION – Chris Chiller, Researcher
Something’s fishy in book #9 and it smacks of salmon, but do you know the odyssey of the Atlantic Salmon in the Northeast? (more)
A WELL-SEASONED STORY DISPATCH – Chris Chiller Essayist
Wondering how we got to this divided now? Again? I explore the non-political reasons for the divisions, citing peer-review research in psychology, neurology and genetics and salting in my experiences, anecdotes, and interviews. Join me at my website and blog: https://chrischiller.com for exploration and discussion.

FROM THE VAULT – AJ Alanson
Sometimes, I get a little riled up but I repair to my art studio whenever I need to express what can’t be said with words. Then, somehow, the words can finally come. “Chipped Away” is the first of three women created with curls of exotic woods , supported only by these chips and pieces in a series of sculptures called “Greater Than the Sum of Our Parts.” https://ajalanson.com/2025/03/08/chipped-away/

THE GRACE NOTES – music in the earbuds
Chris and I produced our first talkie out of our brand new the sound studio! It’s just an Amazon ad with his background guitar and my voice over, but the learning curve was steep just for 10 sec.
All original. All human-made. LISTEN HERE and feel free to lob rotten grapefruits.
We’re learning and any advice is welcome. Or vitamin C.

QUOTES FROM THE CAST
– Book#2, Dragon
June’s head swiveled between the two men. “What? Wait! No! Karl thought…”
Karl held up his palms. ‘Looks like you’re sorting your library. Who am I to judge?”
“Ah…” Ramone took the bait. “The old ‘sorting your library’ euphemism.”
