Like Films? Well, Have I Got a Treat for You!

I had the great privilege to contribute to an independent feature film, “Carbon Men Salvation The Senator’s Dilemma,” written, directed, produced, and scored by a dear friend of mine, Roger Kuhns, and his cherished wife, Anne Schmidt. While my husband and I briefly flash across one scene, playing scientists of all things, I also had the pleasure of performing “Howling Wind,” a song written for me the first night Roger discovered I had been a professional singer over much of my life. He said, “Sing something,” I did, and next, we were in the studio recording a truly poignant song for the center of the movie. I can’t say enough about the soundtrack. While varied, innovative, and brilliant, Roger also brought together hundreds of musicians across this country and from all walks of life. Such an honor to be among those names.

The story of Carbon Men is an ambitious telling of our future selves, pushed to the brink of extinction, navigating back in time to search for their one shot at changing their own fate, the critical tipping point, the single choice which could have saved the planet for all of humanity, and the emotional complexity behind that simple, yet momentous, decision. The film has already one numerous and well-deserved awards on the film festival circuit but right now, it’s up for a People’s Choice Award at the New Yore Lift-Off Film Festival 2025.

So…..I have an ask but not without a reward. If you go to the website below and sign into watch “Feature,” – it cost me $12 – you can spend the next seven days watching hundreds of films, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, you can also VOTE for Carbon Men and three other features for your favorites AND write a little review if you like. It’s fun and you’ll be helping the planet. Also, the soundtrack is available on Spotify and other music streaming platforms. Thank you all and ENJOY!
