Taking a break from writing, I was out wandering in my woods in a fairly cold winter for Connecticut when I came across an array of life running full length of a log. This is the Dead of Winter, right? Feeling admonished, I hurried back to my desk because if nature can still create in damp, cold, and dark, so can I.
