A Creative December: Jello Recipes and Family Time

I’ve had a wonderful December filled with clever – if questionable – Jello recipes, 18 days of freezing my hide in Santa’s workshop, and taking time with family and friends I normally wouldn’t spare. I had to. There’s a lot of anxiety out there which in turn creates a rare moment where the infuriatingly calm, plodding, organized, and boring writer seems like a salve more than a dud. Just for a moment.

But, back to work! I’ve indulged in my artistic side for a month and now I’m back to writing. Honest. I was filming a little misty walk through my woods for those little video teasers one makes to promote their novels when I came across an entire forest trapped inside a droplet. Either by physics or magic, tiny water molecules have managed to shrink the wide world down to a manageable size just by choosing to “be” rather than rail. Hmmm…

Hope your holidays were wonderful and you are ready for what comes. Happy New Year!
