A Witch in the Mill is in the hands of my alpha readers while I comb through the manuscript again and again, searching for hiccups, or hick-ups, for those who know me and my infernal battle with homophones. It’s so bad, I have one beta dedicated to the art of finding my unintentional creative writing often leading to hilarity and shame.
The cover is done. I think it’s done. I’m pretty sure it’s close to done. I might want to move the broom down just a smidge… Anyway, soon, like after Thanksgiving, everyone can have a new Witch in the collection and thank you to all who have bought my books and read up on the series to this point. One of my favorite data sets is the read-through from one book to the next. It’s awesome to watch.
Traditionally, if I’ve been good all year, I get to take December off from writing, but this year, I’ve been naughty, thus Santa has chained me to my desk to force more work out of me. Okay, I never have to be forced, I love to write, and…it’s never really work, except for the last editing pass, checking that every open parenthesis have a closed parenthesis, there are no wayward spaces, how many instances of “was” was, and the correct usage of “that” and “which.” Blech!
The art? Ava’s doodle at the bottom of her assignment. I love her work!
