Future Girl

Future Girl

During our drawing class together, I sketched from a photo of my daughter taken through the walls of a clean room as she worked. She’s a senior now and a remarkable artist but she told me a minute ago that she’s planning on going into physics, then med school, then maybe the CDC. I guess she’ll get used to the clean room.

You don’t even need to squint to see her fading away into her future.

I pen cozy mysteries, women’s literature, urban fantasy, paranormal fantasy, and science fiction. As an essayist, I speak to craft, creatives, and gentle common sense. As an artist, I create whatever I want.
